Dirt Buyer, the Brooklyn project of Joe Sutkowski (who also plays in This Is Lorelei’s live band), has announced his third album, Dirt Buyer III, due February 6 via Bayonet (pre-order). New single “Get To Choose” jumps from the lo-fi slacker rock of Dirt Buyer’s first two albums into something much higher-fi and also something thats more pop-punky than we’re used to hearing from Dirt Buyer.
“This song is about feeling very alone in a situation I didn’t want to be in, but not knowing how to communicate that,” Joe says. “It’s like being really, really tiny and screaming, but you’re too small and nobody can hear you.” The album also includes Dirt Buyer’s recent folky single “Betchu Won’t,” and you can hear both of these tracks below.
