Death of Ali Khamenei : Pro-Iranian regime protesters attack US consulates

On Sunday in Karachi, at least nine protesters were killed during violent clashes outside the US consulate.

The protesters rallied after US and Israeli strikes in Iran led to the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and attempted to force their way into the diplomatic compound. Police responded with gunfire and tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The violence spread to other Pakistani cities where rallies also turned violent. Security around US diplomatic sites has been tightened.
