Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) refused to participate. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had her own issues, and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was distracted by personal problems. So Tony needed someone to conspire with — and that’s when he enlisted Gabi, who agreed to help with the corporate takeover in exchange for control of Gabi Chic and the CEO title at DiMera Enterprises.
