Footage of a tech CEO apparently being caught with an employee on “kiss-cam” at a Coldplay concert has gone viral.

The band’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’ tour rolled into the Gillette Stadium near Boston on Wednesday night (July 16) and the seemingly exposing moment happened during the regular segment of the show in which a roving camera finds a couple in the crowd and they kiss as they are shown on the big screens.

In this case, the camera panned onto Andy Byron, CEO of the tech platform Astronomer, who had his arms wrapped around a woman who is reported to be Kristin Cabot, the HR chief of Astronomer.

As soon as the two saw themselves on the screens, Byron quickly let go of Cabot and dived out of the shot, while Cabot held her hands to her head and turned her back. Chris Martin said as they were first shown, “Ohh, look at these two,” before adding as they reacted with shock: “Come on, you’re ok. Oh what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The Sun reports that Astronomer is worth more than $1.3billion (£1billion) and Byron has served as CEO of the company since 2023. Cabot, meanwhile, joined as Chief People Officer nine months ago.

Elsewhere, it was recently revealed that a shuttle bus named after Coldplay’s hit ‘Yellow’ will carry fans to two ‘Music Of The Spheres’ shows in Hull next month.

The band will also be playing a run of dates at Wembley Stadium from August 22 to September 8 although there are no plans as yet to line up a ‘Yellow’ shuttle bus for those shows.

At the end of 2024, NME spoke to Chris Martin in an exclusive interview about their 10th album ‘Moon Music’ and their constant support for emerging talent.

Explaining why he wanted to work with Arya Starr, he said: “Number one: she’s brilliant, and number two: she’s Nigerian. It would maybe work with an English person, but it wouldn’t be the same. [We asked] ‘Is it the person the song wants?’, ‘Is it someone Coldplay can give wider exposure to?’, and ‘Do they come from a completely different place to us?’”

“On our records, we’re covered for middle-aged white guys,” he added. “We don’t need any more of them, really. It’s fun to expand the band into other cultures, countries, genders and sexualities. That’s really what we believe in.”

Elsewhere, Coldplay, Doja CatJ Balvin, and Tems also headlined the FIFA Club World Cup final halftime show earlier this week.
