Cola announce new album, share “Hedgesitting”

Montreal’s Cola have announced their third album, Cost of Living Adjustment, which will be out May 8 via Firetalk. Tim Darcy (vocals/guitar), Ben Stidworthy (bass), and Evan Cartwright (drums) produced it themselves and say the album title works both with the songs’ themes of capitalism vs socialism, and as a quasi self-titled release.

The first single from the album is “Hedgesitting,” which finds Cola adding more layers and melodies to the minimalist, taut, talky style of their previous two albums. You can watch the video, directed by Kristina Pedersen, below.
