Coachella 2026 Lineup Takeaways: From Pop Stars to Punk Bands to a Weird Radiohead Thing

Coachella’s 2026 lineup is here and we’ve got thoughts. All three headliners are pop stars for the first time in Coachella history (Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G), but Goldenvoice’s punk roots are still well represented (with Turnstile, Iggy Pop, Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, Joyce Manor, Ceremony, Drain, Title Fight offshoot Glitterer, Hot Mulligan, Fleshwater, Febuary, and more). Past headliners The Strokes are now one slot below Justin Bieber, and they’re one of three bands from the 2000s NYC rock revival, along with Interpol and The (recently reunited) Rapture. The xx are back with their first-announced show in eight years. There’s a little bit of newer indie rock (Wednesday, Alex G, Wet Leg, Geese, Blondshell, Samia), and a lot of electronic music.

What else we’re wondering: Will Clipse have big guests? Are Nine Inch Nails doing a full EDM set with Boys Noize? What exactly is Bob Baker Marionettes? And what’s up with that weird Radiohead thing? All this and more on the new special edition episode of our podcast BV Weekly, streaming wherever you listen to podcasts.
