Cameroonian minister announces election bid after leaving Paul Biya government

Cameroonian minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary announced on Thursday he will run in this year’s presidential election after resigning earlier this week, challenging current leader Paul Biya’s 43-year regime, which Bakary says has “shown its limits.”
