BTS have announced their very first live album, ‘Permission to Dance on Stage – Live’.

Today, the K-pop group shared the news that they will be releasing their first-ever live album this July. It will be made available on all digital streaming platforms on July 18, while pre-orders for physical copies are now open through physical and digital retailers.

The live album will feature recordings from the group’s record-breaking ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ tour between 2021 and 2022.

That’s not all – the group have also announced a digital companion piece titled ‘Permission To Dance On Stage – Seoul’. The Seoul variation will include the base ‘Permission to Dance on Stage – Live’ album, as well as compilation video spanning over two hours from BTS’  ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ concert at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium in March 2022.

The package will also include a 92-page photobook with behind-the-scenes content, accessible through a digital card format that unlocks high-definition VOD content on the Weverse platform.

The live album’s release comes shortly after all seven members of the group reunited last month following the completion of their various mandatory services in South Korea. Since then, a HYBE source has claimed that BTS are scheduled to make their comeback in March 2026, though the group themselves, Big Hit and HYBE have yet to comment on the situation.

BTS went on hiatus in 2022 to fulfil their mandatory service and “explore some solo projects”. One of the most recent of which was Jin releasing his second solo project, titled ‘Echo’.

Following his discharge, V hinted at BTS’ return, saying in an interview with Apple Music 1: “I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service. We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it’s going to be a massive energy.”

Before then, he told Weverse Magazine: “When we’re all back together as a group, it’s going to have a huge impact, and everybody’s going to be watching. I’m excited to see what it’ll feel like when we perform together again. I want to come back in style and say, ‘This is us. This is BTS.’ I can’t speak for everyone, but I can tell you the other members feel the same way.”
