Boys Night Out release first new song in 9 years, “100% Ghosts”

We’ve had 2005 emo on the mind here at BV with our recent list of 20 classic emo & post-harcore albums turning in 2025, and it’s been a good time for some of the bands on that list in present-day too. Earlier this week, Armor For Sleep announced a new album after performing their 2005 album What to Do When You Are Dead in full on tour with Boys Night Out, who will be playing their 2005 album Trainwreck on tour this fall with support from Spitalfield (who made our best emo albums of 2003 list), Park, Have Mercy, Mest, and rosecoloredworld, varying by date. And now, Boys Night Out have released a new song.

“100% Ghosts” is their first new single since their 2016 EP Black Dogs (which was their first release since their 2007 self-titled album), and it’s also the first release since singer Connor Lovat-Fraser re-structured Boys Night Out with a new lineup with the blessing of the original members and the band’s fanbase. The lineup may look a little different but the song is classic Boys Night Out, a theatrical, gang vocal-fueled dose of poppy, proggy post-hardcore that fits right in with the music on Trainwreck and the self-titled.

“Personally, this song makes me feel positive and excited for what the future holds,” says Connor. “It was deeply cathartic to write and sing during the recording process. I can’t wait to perform it live on stage.” Check it out below.

BNO’s Trainwreck 20th anniversary tour starts on October 6 with a run of shows in the band’s home country of Canada, and it hits NYC’s Racket on November 9, which is with Spitalfield and rosecoloredworld. All dates are listed below.
