Another Bournemouth star on United’s radar after stellar attacking campaign, €50m could get the job done – report

Discussions surrounding Manchester United’s pursuit of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo have recently subsided, heightening concerns among the fan base.

Those feelings have been exacerbated by Tottenham Hotspur’s entry into the race following their appointment of Thomas Frank.

The Danish manager is intent on reuniting with his Brentford talisman, and as per reports, Spurs are even ready to outbid the Red Devils to land the Cameroonian.

And even though INEOS remain confident of getting their man, they are keeping backup options ready as seen from recent links with Antoine Semenyo and Eberechi Eze.

United join Justin Kluivert race

Now, CaughtOffside have claimed the 20-time English league champions have joined the race for Bournemouth attacker Justin Kluivert.

“Manchester United have been long-time admirers of Kluivert and are monitoring his situation closely. The Red Devils see him as a versatile attacking option who could thrive under a more fluid attacking setup.

“United’s recruitment team has kept tabs on Kluivert since his early days in the Eredivisie, and with attacking reinforcements a priority this summer, he remains on their shortlist.”

He netted 13 times while also registering eight assists. Even more importantly, he has played in a similar system with the Cherries, and has mainly operated as an attacking midfielder while he can also do a job out wide if needed.

Lot of interest in his services

The Dutchman is open to joining a big club, with Bournemouth in no hurry to sell given the 26-year-old has a contract until 2028.

They will only sell him should a club bid in the region of €50–55 million. This means he is going to be cheaper than Mbeumo, Semenyo and Eze, but whether the Old Trafford giants pivot to him remains to be seen.

Justin Kluivert has also attracted interest from Newcastle, Liverpool and Spurs while Erik ten Hag, who has recently taken over Bayer Leverkusen, has also contacted his compatriot.

The ex-Roma star is keen to stay in the English top-flight and it will be interesting to see if he ends up moving this summer.
