African Union court denies Ivory Coast opposition leaders’ petition

Former Ivory Coast President Laurent Gbagbo saw an appeal rejected by the African Union’s human rights court on Thursday, as he seeks to repeal crime convictions stemming from the country’s civil war to stand in his country’s upcoming presidential election.
