Twisted Sister‘s 50th anniversary tour looked like it was not happening when, a month ago, frontman Dee Snider announced he was “resigning” from the band, citing health challenges including degenerative arthritis. But now, the metal vets have drafted Sebastian Bach from Skid Row (and Hep Alien) as the band’s new vocalist.
The news was announced via Twisted Sister’s socials: “Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and frontman Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall,” they wrote in a statement, noting, “These appearances do not affect or conflict with Sebastian’s current or future solo touring schedule, which remains fully intact.”
Dee Snider was quick to reassure fans that he is doing ok. “The rumors have run wild that I am on my deathbed,” he said on on his House of Hair radio show. “I am not. I just can’t do those things that I did in my 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and even 60s. Alright? Otherwise I’m alive and well. I’m enjoying life.”
Stay tuned for details of Twisted Sister’s shows with Sebastian Bach.
