Prince Daddy & the Hyena announce new album ‘Hotwire Trip Switch,’ share new song

Prince Daddy & the Hyena have announced a new album, Hotwire Trip Switch, which reunites them with Counter Intuitive Records (after a stint on Pure Noise) and producer Joe Reinhart of Algernon Cadwallader (who produced the band’s 2016 debut LP I Thought You Didn’t Even Like Leaving). It comes out on April 17, and you can pre-order it here.

The first single is “Big Box Store Heart,” a song that finds the band’s catchy yet off-kilter approach to indie/emo/punk sounding as cosmically thrilling as ever. It’s a ripper and it comes with a video (directed by Brian Terranova & Jake Sulzer) that you can check out below.

Prince Daddy also have an upcoming tour with direct support from fellow long-running indie-emo band Remo Drive on all dates, plus additional support from hardcore-infused punks Restraining Order on the first leg and power-popsters Liquid Mike on the second. The leg with Liquid Mike hits NYC’s LPR on June 11. All dates are listed below.
