Fine midfield talent continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United, with it becoming increasingly obvious that strengthening the centre of the park is their top priority this summer.

Among the many exciting midfield options linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams is Breno Bidon, whose brilliance has earned him the nickname “Brazilian Pedri.”

Much like the Barcelona star, the 20-year-old effortlessly controls games from deep, thanks to his high technical ability, exceptional press resistance, and intelligent style of play as a central midfielder.

It is no wonder Bidon is being hailed as the next great thing to emerge from Brazilian football.

Indeed, United acquiring their own Pedri would be a move in the right direction; however, they must first stun their rivals in the race for his signature.

He confessed, “I do dream about playing in Europe. It has been a dream since I was a kid – to play in Europe, to play in the Champions League, to play, like I said, in a World Cup.

“It has been a dream since I was young. I do have that desire. I do not know when the moment will come, but I do have that desire to play abroad.”

With that in mind, it is no secret that United must return to playing Champions League football if they are to have any realistic hope of landing Bidon.

Champions League football could soon return to Old Trafford.

United have a decent chance of returning to the premier European competition. A win over Crystal Palace would see them climb to third in the league table, with ten games still to play.

What is more, with United currently riding a ten-game unbeaten run, there is a real sense of momentum about the club. Should they sustain this form, they should find themselves back competing with Europe’s finest come next season.

And so, should United secure their place in the 2026–27 Champions League, as many now expect, they would hold the perfect incentive to convince Pedri 2.0 that Old Trafford is exactly where his next great chapter belongs.
