Brazil politicians convicted for ordering murder of Rio activist councillor
Brazil’s Supreme Court on Wednesday convicted two former lawmakers of ordering the 2018 assassination of Rio de Janeiro council woman Marielle Franco, a popular black activist whose murder exposed deep ties between politics and organized crime.
