Squarepusher announces new album ‘Kammerkonzert’: hear “K2 Central”

Tom Jenkinson has announced his 16th Squarepusher record, which is titled Kammerkonzert and will be out April 10 via Warp. While he’s known for hardcore rave with breakneck BPMs, this album finds him exploring melody and jazzy, atmospheric textures. “Why?,” Jenkinson asks rhetorically. “Partly because it’s an area that the makers of music tech struggle to capture, and it’s where the artist is most exposed to the risk of sounding shit.”
