Better Lovers, the band formed in 2023 after Every Time I Die‘s contentious breakup, are parting ways with their vocalist, Greg Puciato, formerly of The Dillinger Escape Plan. In a message on social media, they write:
Better Lovers is parting ways with Greg Puciato.
We’re proud of the work we’ve done together but we are moving in another direction.
To all of our fans, thank you for riding with us these past few years. We’ve accomplished so much in such a short time with your support and we’re still beyond excited to continue down this road with you.
The four of us are finishing writing a new album which we are extremely proud of and currently looking for a new singer.
Thanks for your understanding , we’ll see you soon.
Puciato, who fronted Dillinger Escape Plan from 2001-2017 and is also a vocalist in Black Queen and Killer Be Killed and a solo artist, formed Better Lovers with three former Every Time I Die members–Jordan Buckley, Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, and Stephen Micciche–along with frequent ETID producer Will Putney. They released their debut LP, Highly Irresponsible, in 2024, and an EP, God Made Me an Animal, in 2023.
Around the same time that Better Lovers formed, ETID vocalist Keith Buckley formed his own band Many Eyes. The Dillinger Escape Plan have meanwhle been playing reunion shows with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis.
Better Lovers are currently scheduled to play both the Las Vegas and Dallas editions of Sick New World this year. Stay tuned to find out who handles lead vocals.
