Sekou Kone

The Malian teenager has not had the easiest time since joining FC Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.

Manchester United were said to be unhappy that Kone was left out of the side’s Conference League squad. What’s more, he had only been involved in a couple of substitute appearances before yesterday.

Kone was given more time yesterday, as he played the final 30 minutes of Lausanne’s 1-2 defeat to Lugano.

The midfielder made one key pass in the match and completed an impressive 87% of his passes.

He also made one successful dribble in the game and carried the ball forward 11 times.

Kone also helped out defensively, making two interceptions and recovering the ball four times in the match.

The youngster will hope to get more minutes under his belt against FC Basel in the league this coming Sunday afternoon.

Enzo Kana-Biyik

Manchester United’s other academy player on loan at Lausanne also got the final half an hour to prove his worth.

It has been a poor loan so far, as he has only scored one goal all season and has rarely been able to start matches for the Swiss side.

He had three shots in the game, two of which were blocked and one that was saved by the keeper.

The striker also made one key pass and completed his only dribble attempt. Kana-Biyik also won his only aerial attempt and one out of two ground duels during his spell on the pitch.
