Poison The Well share adventurous new single “Everything Hurts” off first LP in 17 years

Poison The Well have shared the second taste of their first album in 17 years, Peace In Place, and new single “Everything Hurts” shows off a few different sides of the band that we didn’t hear on the excellent lead single “Thoroughbreds.” We get some tension-building speak-singing that almost sounds more like classic mewithoutYou than classic Poison The Well, and that builds to a soaring clean-sung hook before erupting into some breakdown-friendly metalcore. It’s a lot at once, and it finds the band sounding just as adventurous as they did in the experimental latter years of their initial run. Listen and watch the Chris Candy-directed video below.

PTW also have a lot of upcoming tour dates, including their tour with fellow metalcore lifers Converge (who released their own excellent new album, Love Is Not Enough, last week). The Converge tour hits Queens’ Knockdown Center on April 10 as part of a leg with newer bands Balmora and Spy. All PTW dates are listed below.
