Dozens of filmmakers slam Berlin Film Festival’s ‘silence’ on Gaza in open letter

More than 80 film industry figures, including Oscar winners Javier Bardem and Tilda Swinton, accused the Berlin Film Festival of “institutional silence” on Gaza in a statement on Tuesday. The open letter said signatories were appalled, while jury president Wim Wenders, when asked, said the festival could not “enter politics”.
