Lana Del Rey‘s new album that’s currently called Stove (that was first called Lasso and then called The Right Person Will Stay) and that’s allegedly her “country album” has been delayed once again–it’s now coming “in approximately three months”–but while we wait for a new release date, we did just get a new single from it. It’s called “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” and it’s definitely not country, but it is the kind of sweeping, string-laden, retro ballad that Lana does so well.
The song was written by Lana, her sister Chuck Grant, her brother-in-law Jason Pickens, and her husband Jeremy Dufrene; it was produced by Lana and Jack Antonoff; and it features co-production and strings by Drew Erickson. Listen below.
