La Sécurité announce new album ‘Bingo!,’ share title track

Montreal band La Sécurité have announced a new album, Bingo!, which will be out June 12 via Bella Union / Mothland. It was produced by the band’s Félix Bélisle and Emmanuel Éthier (Corridor, Chocolate).

“On Bingo!, we move from one style to another, it’s not necessarily textbook post-punk, Riot Grrrl, or another particular style… it’s more like a snowball effect, like a piece of gum at the bottom of your bag, picking up glitters, hair, etcetera,” the band say.

They add: “For the cover, the concept is that Bingo is as much an exclamation, as an outcome or a dog. Melissa didn’t want it to be too ‘on the nose’—like a Bingo game in a social club—but she thought it good to keep elements of the game and combine them with nods to conversations that the different members of the band have had between them.”

The album includes 2025 singles “Detour” and “Ketchup” and they’ve just shared the banging, new wavey title track. “’Bingo’ was a working title Melissa used to save the demo when we were working on the song,” the band say. “The lyrics came later following a suggestion from Félix to describe a game of Bingo, to put into words the social life from an old folks home—elderly people that are young at heart, hence the references to Orange Crush, little hats, etcetera. The bass line and its tone are a tribute to Death From Above 1979.”

La Sécurité will be on tour in the UK and Europe this spring and all dates are listed below.
