India hosts AI summit with Macron expected to attend

A global artificial intelligence summit kicked off in New Delhi on Monday with big issues on the agenda, from job disruption to child safety, although some attendees warned the broad focus could make concrete commitments from world leaders less likely. Some 20 world leaders including French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to attend, FRANCE 24’s Navodita Kumari said, adding that India is looking to underscore the fact that it is the first time that any summit on AI at this scale is held in the global south.
