Macron calls for ‘mandatory electoral bans’ for people guilty of anti-Semitic or racist acts

French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday called for those found guilty of anti-Semitic or racist acts or remarks to receive “mandatory electoral bans”. Macron was speaking on the 20-year anniversary of the kidnapping, torture and murder of French Jewish man Ilan Halimi.
