‘Long live the Queen’: Nice carnival preparations get underway

For two weeks every February, Nice, on the Cote d’Azur, bids goodbye to winter with the biggest carnival in France. The annual event traditionally celebrates the king, but this year the theme will be ‘Long live the Queen’. The first parade begins on the 11th of February and spectators are encouraged to dress up from head to toe.
