Anjimile shares “Waits For Me,” announces US tour

Anjimile‘s new album You’re Free to Go is out next month, and he’s shared the second single, “Waits For Me.” “What can I say? I’m trans,” he writes. “This is a song about being trans. Trans people are vilified in conservative media and by the current administration, and trans youth are demonized, othered and isolated in schools for USING THE BATHROOM and PLAYING SPORTS. All this is to say, fuck that shit I’m trans and proud.” Hear it below.

Anjimile also announced a March residency in Durham, NC, followed by a US tour in May and June. He’ll be in Brooklyn on Union Pool on June 5. Tickets to that and all dates go on sale Friday, February 13 at 10 AM local, and you can see all dates below.
