UN says ‘gravely concerned’ as international outrage grows over Israel’s plans for West Bank

The United Nations chief said Monday he was “gravely concerned” Israeli plans to tighten the country’s grip over the occupied West Bank as international outrage over the measures continues to grow. Earlier, Saudi Arabia and seven other Muslim-majority countries condemned the Israeli plans, which pave the way for more settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
