UN waits for clarity on US payments as financial crisis looms

The United Nations says it is awaiting confirmation from the Trump administration on how much of the nearly $4 billion owed by the United States it plans to pay, and when the funds will be transferred, as the world body warns it could face a cash shortfall by mid-year.
