Japan’s Takaichi vows ‘major policy shift’ after resounding election victory

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said on Monday her party’s thumping election win showed that the public recognises the urgent need for major policy reforms as she prepares to push sweeping conservative legislation that will shift Japanese security, immigration, economic and social policies.
