North West has shared a teaser of a new collaborative single with her father Kanye West – check it out below.
The 12-year-old daughter of Ye and Kim Kardashian posted the 60-second clip on her Instagram Stories yesterday (January 16), under the title, ‘Piercing on my hand @ye version”.
Over a dramatic orchestral beat that her father has apparently had input into, North raps: “Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands / No friends, just filter, you wouldn’t understand / Shopping in Japan, that’s where I always stand / Went to school for two days, then I got banned / Skipping school, yeah, I do it on the daily.”
“All my friends are hits, you know I’m not lazy / You’re so angry that I’m so mainstream” she continues. “I want more piercings and tats / I love blue hair, put it in some plaits / Put the music to the max, I want a hundred thousand racks.”

North’s burgeoning music career received a boost when she featured on FKA Twigs’ ‘Childlike Things’ on last year’s ‘Euxesua’, a track that saw North singing in Japanese. Twigs said she wanted North on the song as her “energy is so inspiring”, adding: “It needs someone who has that tenacity, who has that strong point of view that you have when you’re 11.”
The youngster performed ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’ at the live production of ‘The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl’ in 2024, and later that year, she announced that she was working on her debut album, titled ‘Elementary School Dropout’, a reference to her father’s 2004 record ‘The College Dropout’. That album has yet to be released.
She also contributed a verse to ‘Talking’ and ‘Vultures’, tracks from Ye’s album ‘Vultures 1’ with Ty Dolla $ign in 2024, and she joined her father for a live version of the former at an arena show in Paris that February.
North also dressed up as Japanese metal band BABYMETAL for Halloween last year, alongside her friends.
As for Ye, he is due to release his 12th studio album ‘BULLY’ on January 30, after making the surprise announcement at a comedy gig at the Hollywood Improv last month. His team have also recently responded to speculation that the album will feature AI usage.
