Trump threatens tariffs on countries not backing US takeover of Greenland
President Donald Trump said for the first time on Friday that he might use tariffs to punish countries that “don’t go along with” his plans for the US to acquire Greenland. European leaders have repeatedly said that the US cannot seize control of the island, which is a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark.
