Brazil’s Bolsonaro transferred to prison with ‘more favorable’ conditions

Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro was transferred to prison on Thursday to begin serving a 27-year sentence for orchestrating a failed coup, under conditions described by a court as “more favorable.” The 70-year-old was convicted over efforts to overturn his 2022 election loss to Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
