ELUCID announces new album ‘I Guess U Had To Be There’ with Sebb Bash, shares “First Light”

Just a couple months the release of Armand Hammer & The Alchemist’s new album Mercy, Armand Hammer member ELUCID has announced his next solo album, I Guess U Had To Be There, due March 13 via Backwoodz Studioz (pre-order). The whole album is a collaboration with Swiss producer Sebb Bash, and it features a song with ELUCID’s Armand Hammer partner billy woods, as well as appearances from Breezly Brewin, Estee Nack, MATTIE, and Shabaka Hutchings.

The first single is “First Light,” which features MATTIE, and it’s a great example of ELUCID’s sinister, far-out approach to rap music. It comes with a video directed by Joseph Mault, and you can check that out below.

ELUCID has a few solo shows coming up in February with DJ Haram, including a hometown NYC show on February 7 at Night Club 101 and a Long Island show on February 10 at Daily Op.

Armand Hammer are also touring this year. All dates for both ELUCID and Armand Hammer are listed below.
