Gen Z risks ‘being marginalised’ in Madagascar political overhaul as army takes power, expert says

An elite Madagascar military unit said Tuesday it had taken power of the Indian Ocean nation after the national assembly voted to impeach President Andry Rajoelina following weeks of anti-government protests led by young people. Speaking on FRANCE 24, Madagascar expert Dr Luke Freeman of University College London says that Gen Z protesters risk being left out of the overhaul of the political system.
