Kentucky’s White Reaper released their new album Only Slightly Empty last month via Blue Grape Music. It’s self-produced and recorded with engineer Joey Oaxaca, and guitarist and vocalist Tony Esposito says, “there’s definitely a fresh start feeling with this record. I even have more nerves leading up to people hearing it–I feel like I did back when we were putting out our first music ever. Everything’s so different now but I have that excitement again.” Hear it below.
To celebrate the album’s release, we asked the band about their favorite ’90s alt-rock records. Esposito took us through his top 5:
White Reaper are on tour with Lip Critic, Worlds Worst and Dazy now, including an Asbury Park show at House of Independents on October 19 with Lip Critic and Worlds Worst, and an NYC show at TV Eye on October 22 with Dazy and Worlds Worst. They’ll also support Militarie Gun on tour in the UK in February of 2026. See all dates below.
