OpenAI announces five new AI data centres in addition to flagship Texas location

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, announced on Tuesday that it is building five new Stargate AI data centres around the US. The flagship location in Abilene, Texas is being constructed with the centre’s environmental impact in mind, and is expected to create 1,700 new jobs.
