Rubio is in Israel in wake of Qatar attack as strikes intensify in northern Gaza

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in Israel as its military intensifies attacks on northern Gaza, destroying several high-rise buildings and killing at least 13 Palestinians. His two-day visit comes amid an emergency summit in Qatar with Arab leaders, while the United Nations prepares for a contentious debate on Palestinian statehood. Rubio is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again this afternoon, likely to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza and the West Bank, as FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky explains from Jerusalem.
