‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ will have WhatsApp and Uber parodies, leak reveals

A new Grand Theft Auto 6 leak has revealed a number of websites that seem to parody WhatsApp and Uber.

Poking fun at real world events and companies has become a Grand Theft Auto tradition with recent games and it seems that the upcoming GTA 6 will be no different.

Taking to the Grand Theft Auto forums, reliable leaker Tez2 shared a list of fake websites that were registered by GTA publisher Take-Two earlier this year. “These domains could be in-game sites that Rockstar may redirect to GTA 6‘s page later on, like what we’ve seen with 4 and 5. Or some could be completely unrelated instead,” they explained. However, they believe that a majority will have something to do with GTA 6.

The leaked websites are:

what-up.app
rydeme.app
buckme.app
leonidagov.org
brianandbradley.com
hookers-galore.com
wipeoutcornskin.com

A 2022 leak revealed that what-up.app will parody WhatsApp while fans believe rydeme will be Grand Theft Auto’s ride-sharing app, similar to Bolt or Uber.

Others have suggested buckme will be similar to Venmo or PayPal, brianaandbradley is a fake legal practice inspired by Florida-based law firm Morgan and Morgan and, despite the NSFW name, hookers-galore may have something to do with fishing.

After the websites were leaked, the details about who had registered them were updated to distance them from Take-Two (via PC Gamer).

Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently due to launch May 26, 2026 after it was delayed from a “late 2025” release window. In recent weeks, there have been rumours that Grand Theft Auto 6 would be delayed once more but a former Rockstar employee has dismissed that speculation as clout-chasing. “Rockstar had a free choice and picked May 26. They’re confident,” explained Obbe Vermeij. “They’ll make the final call five months out.”

Earlier this year Strauss Zelnick, the boss of Grand Theft Auto 6’s publisher Take Two, said he was sure the game wouldn’t be delayed again. “My level of conviction is very, very high. Rockstar does have a lot of other things going on, but this is of course the primary focus.”

In other news, Sony has confirmed what titles will be coming to PlayStation Plus this September – check out the full list here.
