Stephen Colbert reacts to Trumps creepy alleged birthday drawing for Epstein

A man in a suit stands on a talk show stage.

The birthday letter and drawing allegedly penned by Donald Trump for convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday (which the president denies writing) has been published by the House Oversight Committee, after lawyers for Epstein’s estate turned it and other documents over to Congress — and it’s somehow even creepier than anyone could have imagined.

“Keep in mind Trump didn’t just deny doing it, he sued the Wall Street Journal reporters and Rupert Murdoch for $10 billion,” says Stephen Colbert in the Late Show clip above, after showing the image. “Well now, Rupert Murdoch must be laughing up in heaven, because — I’m sorry, what? He’s what?”

Colbert goes on to say that according to the Oversight Committee, Trump was listed under the ‘Friends’ section in the 2003 book’s table of contents. “Right, it’s just like the sit-com theme song: ‘So no-one told you, you were on a pervert’s plane / Oh wait, they told you, and you still got on his plane.'”
