Parents of French sports journalist imprisoned in Algeria slam ‘absurd’ charges

French sports journalist Christophe Gleizes should not be imprisoned to “settle political scores” between France and Algeria, his parents said. Gleizes was sentenced to seven years in prison in Algeria in June for “glorifying terrorism”, a charge his parents have slammed as “totally absurd”.
