Alleged ‘Prophet Mohammed’ cartoon sparks clashes, arrests in Istanbul

Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas after hundreds attacked a bar over an alleged cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed appeared in a satirical magazine on Monday. Despite the magazine defending the cartoon, claiming it had been “misinterpreted,” authorities detained the artist and two staffers.
