France: Heatwave forces some schools to close

The number of departments under orange alert — the second-highest level — will rise to 84 on June 30, with temperatures expected to peak on July 1 and 2, bringing highs of up to 41C (105.8F).  Some cities have already closed schools for the beginning of the week as a protective measure.
