United agree loan deal for gifted striker, he’ll play in Conference League – report

Manchester United have agreed to loan out new youth signing, Enzo Kana-Biyik, to FC Lausanne-Sport.

Ever since Ineos took over at the club, they have made snapping up young stars a main transfer priority.

This was abundantly clear last year and it has continued this summer with the captures of Diego Leon and Kana-Biyik.

United won the race for the former Le Havre wonderkid, beating the likes of Paris Saint-Germain to his signature.

It was thought that Ruben Amorim may include him in the pre-season squad to assess his readiness for first team action but it appears he will directly go out on loan.

Football journalist Christopher Michel has confirmed that the plan is indeed to send the 18 year old out on loan in Europe.

He posted on X that “talent Enzo Kana-Biyik will be loaned out for one season. The next club is Lausanne.”

The Swiss side finished fifth in the league last season and will take part in Conference-League qualification.

Michel added that, “he should gain valuable minutes there, develop and, at best, score his first goals.”

Interestingly, Lausanne are also owned by Ineos and this will allow United to keep an extra close eye on the youngster’s development over the coming months.

Kana-Biyik scored an impressive nine goals in 15 academy games this season for Le Havre and United believe he is ready to try his hand at senior football.

The young forward has been described as someone who “blends physicality, deceptive agility, and intelligent movement; an increasingly rare combination in modern forwards.”
