Ecuador captures gang leader over a year after his escaping prison
Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa announced on Wednesday it had recaptured José Adolfo Macías, known as “Fito,” who faces charges both in Ecuador and the United States for smuggling drugs and weapons between the two countries, over a year after he escaped from prison.
