Streetlight Manifesto share 3 songs off first album in 12 years, touring

NJ ska-punk heroes Streetlight Manifesto are set to return this year with their first album in 12 years, The Place Behind the Stars. They originally said that the self-recorded album would be out yesterday (6/24) via their own Pentimento Music Co label, but instead, they released the first three singles yesterday and they’re now promising the album will be out in the fall. New songs “Everything To Everyone,” “Enormous,” and “Imagine This” all sound like classic Streetlight, and they’re also lengthy songs that hover around the six and seven minute marks and get a lot done in that runtime. Streetlight Manifesto are also playing a home state show this week, at Asbury Park’s Stone Pony Summer Stage on Friday (6/27), and that show has support from emo fifth-wavers Prince Daddy & the Hyena. Their tour schedule currently extends through December and also includes a Long Island date at Mulcahy’s on October 18. Will the album be out by then? Let’s hope.
