HAIM have spoken out about their long-rumoured collaboration with Stevie Nicks, and shared their love for the iconic singer.
The sister trio spoke about their ongoing love for the Fleetwood Mac legend during a new interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, and confirmed that they had been in the studio together working on music.
The rumours that the group had teamed up with Nicks have been around for a while, and Danielle, Este and Alana share more information about it during a fan Q&A part of the segment.
While they were careful not to share too much information, they did say that a collaborative song had been recorded, but may not be out for a while yet.
“We can’t say much, but what we can say is that Stevie Nicks is the greatest human being on this planet,” Alana said, while Danielle added: “And the song is really good.”
Alana then added that fans shouldn’t expect the track to feature on their new album ‘I Quit’, as it was written “for something [else]”.
“Sorry to be so cryptic, y’all,” Este joked, while Andy Cohen joked that it might have been developed for the new Smurfs movie. “Yeah. Totally… no. Not that,” Alana responded.
The rumours about the group teaming up with the ‘Edge Of Seventeen’ singer have been circulating for years now, and come following them sharing their love of the singer on many occasions.
They also joined Nicks on stage back in 2018, as part of Fleetwood Mac’s MusiCares tribute – playing ‘Rhiannon’ together – and have often named her as a huge source of inspiration for their music.
Later in the interview, HAIM spoke about their new album ‘I QUIT’ and shared that the breezy single ‘Relationships’ was actually something they held onto for years.
“We knew it was special, and we came home [from a tour in Australia] and showed people,” said Danielle. “We really wanted to make the song, and a lot of people just didn’t get it. Didn’t get the essence of it.”
Alana continued: “But we knew it was special, so we held onto it for seven years. We kept it alive.”
In a four-star review of ‘I Quit’, NME wrote that the record “is set at a crossroads in the grieving process, when lessons have already been learned, but the pain of memories still linger.
“But this is still a HAIM album, and their songs never linger on despair, are never far from the warmth of their sisterhood. They’re no longer the pop group you once knew, but this record is proof that sometimes, you really do need to let go in order to grow.”
The song ‘Relationships’ was also named as one of NME’s picks for Song Of The Summer 2025. “Exuding ‘00s R&B vibes and ethereal vocals from Danielle, this song from the Los Angeles sister trio is the ultimate anthem for those embracing a single girl summer, and one that hits the spot whether you’re living your best life at a festival or simply enjoying not being stuck in a situationship,” the entry read.
HAIM are also rumoured to appear at a secret slot at Glastonbury this weekend. This comes as a mysterious band called ‘Patchwork’ is scheduled to play at the Pyramid Stage on Saturday – and fans have suspected the band might be the sisters.
Ahead of their ‘I Quit’ tour starting in September, a fan has suggested the alias may reference a novel written by Sylvia Haim, along with a 2015 movie featuring three young women – paralleling the three sisters that make up the group.
Responding to rumours of a secret set on BBC Radio 2, HAIM did tease that they “shall be in the area”, calling the Park Stage their “favourite” stage at the festival.
