Mac DeMarco has announced Guitar, his first studio album of vocal songs in six years, which will be out August 22 on Mac’s Record Label. He recorded it and produced it himself at his Los Angeles home studio.
“I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper,” Mac says. “I’m happy to share this music, and look forward to playing these songs as many places as I’m able.” The first single from the album is “Home” and you can watch the video for it below.
Mac has also announced a 2026 tour which will be with artists on Mac’s Record Label: Mock Media, Tex Crick, Daryl Johns and Vicky Farewell. Tickets for all 2026 shows go on sale Friday, June 27 at 10 AM.
