Trump heads to NATO summit with alliance’s unity on the line

World leaders were gathering in the Netherlands on Tuesday for the start of a historic two-day NATO summit that could unite the world’s biggest security organization around a new defense spending pledge or widen divisions among the 32 allies. It will also mark Donald Trump’s first appearance at a NATO summit since returning to office. The US president has in the past had a sometimes antagonistic relationship with NATO and “there has been fear for months about Donald Trump blowing up this summit”, reports France 24’s Dave Keating.
