Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anaïs has admitted that she has no plans to pursue a career in music.

In recent years she has hit the road for her father’s solo tours, joining his team as a photographer and recently served as the director of his documentary series The Making Of Council Skies.
She also previously directed the music video for Inhaler‘s single ‘My Honest Face’ – alongside Glenn Hanstock, Sam Hannigan, and edited by Jack Ridley – from the Dublin-based band’s debut album ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This‘.
Now, speaking in a new interview with W Magazine (via The Mirror), she revealed that she did once have a stab at playing a musical instrument.
“I had a brief stint playing the cello when I was about 11,” Anaïs said. “It’s safe to say there is not an inherent Gallagher musical gene.”
She added: “My dad came to see a few of my recitals, and he swiftly was like, ‘Maybe it’s not for you.’”
Anaïs previously responded to criticism after being labelled a “nepotism” baby saying it would be “tone deaf and irresponsible” if she didn’t admit the “leg up” in life her upbringing had given her.
“I’m really, really, extremely grateful for the situation my parents have been able to give me, and I’ll be grateful until the day I die,” she explained at the time. “Whether it’s being able to attend university or have job opportunities, I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve given me.”
Anaïs went on to say she believes the pressure should be on employers to hire people from different backgrounds, rather than the criticism falling on “nepotism babies”.
Addressing the subject again now, she noted that while she was told she was “different” when growing up as the child of a rock star, it was also made known to her that she was not “better” than anyone else.
Anaïs added: “They said, ‘You’re different, but that doesn’t mean you’re better than anybody else.’ I think I’ve kept that in mind throughout my whole life.
“My generation has been told that the sky is the limit and that if you dream big, you can invent an app and become a billionaire. But that is such a small fraction of the population. My parents were always like, do whatever makes you happy – you don’t need to be this big superstar.”

Elsewhere, she also previously hit out at the “ageism” and “misogyny” swirling on social media following Oasis‘ reunion announcement, with some sharing hypothetical concerns that they’d be beaten to tickets by young women just wanting to hear ‘Wonderwall’ live.
In response, Anaïs said: “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets.”
Blossoms also previously revealed that she also didn’t even know about the band’s reunion before it was announced.
Frontman Tom Ogden said: “Do you know what, Noel’s daughter Anaïs was staying at mine and Katie’s house when these new stories were breaking. And she actually didn’t have a clue. She was texting around people she knew to find out if it was true. She got no word.”
She has now said of their forthcoming tour, which will kick off on July 4 in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium: “I’m pre-prepping my liver now by drinking, I don’t know, electrolytes. It should be a very fun summer. My plan is to be at every UK date, and my camera will be with me every step of the way.”
