Kneecap have announced the official release of ‘The Recap’, along with news of their “biggest ever European headline show” in Amsterdam.

The Belfast rap trio took to social media to share the news. So far, the Mozey-featuring song has only been available as a bootleg version on SoundCloud. Now, Kneecap have said the song will officially be out June 23, writing: “Until then, wee taster audio on here! Get stuck in 👊 See ye in BÁC amaireach !!”

You can check out their full performance of the song at their headline slot at Wide Awake down below.

Kneecap have also announced details of their “biggest ever European headline show”, which will take place at AFAS LIVE in Amsterdam. The 6,000-capacity venue will host the band on November 12, with a pre-sale currently commencing in their Whatsapp channel.

A general sale will follow tomorrow (June 20) at 10am CEST – you can get your tickets here.

Yesterday (June 18), Mo Chara appeared at London’s Westminster Magistrates’ Court, after after urging fans to show their support for him at Westminster with “a big bag of ket” – and posting billboards across London with the message: “More Blacks, More Dogs, More Irish, Mo Chara”.

It follows him being charged with a terror offence in May for allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah at their O2 Kentish Town Forum gig last year. The band have denied supporting either Hamas or Hezbollah, arguing that the footage of the moment had been taken out of context.

Now, following a huge wave of support from hundreds of artists including PulpFontaines D.C.IDLESMassive Attack, Tom MorelloBrian EnoCMAT, Paloma FaithKae Tempest and Amyl & The Sniffers, Chara was greeted yesterday by a giant crowd at Westminster.

Paul Weller was spotted amongst the many protesters, some of whom were holding signs reading ‘Free Palestine, ‘Free Mo Chara’, and ‘Defend Kneecap: Drop The Charges’.

Inside the court, Og O hAnnaidh simply confirmed his name, date of birth and Belfast address before he was released on unconditional bail until his next hearing on August 20.

In other news, Kneecap are due to return to Glastonbury, where they will play the West Holts stage on the Saturday, June 28, at 4pm.

They will also support Fontaines D.C. at their huge Finsbury Park show this July, and play their biggest England show to date at London’s Wembley Arena in September.
